There are always different events and activities happening at and around the Cortland County area on the weekends for people to participate and enjoy.
Here are some of the events happening this weekend in Cortland County:
Halloween
Today is Halloween and even with there being scattered rain showers all throughout this evening, we will still be expecting to see many trick-or-treaters in the evening asking for some sweet treats.
Kids will be in their costumes walking around Cortland County, knocking on doors in search for candy.
Make sure to bring your umbrellas and or rain jackets, if you are planning on walking around trick-or-treating this evening.
First Friday
With tomorrow, November 1st, being the first Friday of the month of November, the Cultural Council of Cortland County will be holding their monthly First Friday event, featuring the artistic work of several local artists.
This month’s event features six participating venues, with a strong focus on visual arts.
This month's First Friday venues include:
- Cinch Art Space – Clothing Swam and Wine & Cheese Potluck
- Cortland Free Library – Cortland Art League Exhibit
- Dowd Gallery – Beyond Places in Time Exhibit Gallery Tour
- The 1890 House Museum – A Wickwire Gallery
- The Gallery at the Center for the Arts – The 17th Annual Rock Garden Art Show
- YWCA Cortland – David Beale and Friends

Sip and Shop
This Saturday, November 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a vendors & craft fair including Jewelry, make up, assembled gifts, knitters, custom signs and much more at the Cortland Elks Lodge 748 located on 9 Groton Avenue, Cortland, NY, 13045. You may even have a glass of wine while browsing. Wine and other adult beverages will only be for sale through the lodge.
