Weekend of events: What to do in Cortland County?

There are always different events and activities happening at and around the Cortland County area on the weekends for people to participate and enjoy.

Here are some of the events happening this weekend in Cortland County:

YWCA Cortland Holiday Open House

The Cortland YWCA will be hosting a Holiday Open House this Saturday, November 23rd.

The Holiday Open House is an all-inclusive celebration of holidays around the world. There will be games, crafts, pictures with Santa, and other activities. There will also be an opportunity to sample desserts from other cultures.

The event is free and will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Harmony United Methodist Women: Annual Christmas Craft Fair

This weekend, the Harmony United Methodist Women will hold their 17th annual Christmas Craft Fair.

The event will take place on both Friday, November 22nd and Saturday November 23rd from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hartford Town Hall.

There will be a variety of craft vendors, a bake sale, hot dogs, soups, drinks and much more.

Lynne Parks '68 SUNY Cortland Alumni House Craft Fair

The Lynne Parks '68 SUNY Cortland Alumni House will be holding a Craft fair this Saturday, November 23rd.

There will be vendors from all over for you to start your holiday shopping early.

The event is free to the public and will go from noon to 4 p.m.

Homer Community Blood Drive

The Homer Community Blood Drive will take place this Saturday November 23rd, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Homer 1st United Methodist Church located on 16 Cayuga Street (on the Green).

People who wish to donate should call and make an appointment at 1-800-RED-CROSS or go to: www.redcrossblood.org

Folks with appointments are given first priority, but walk-ins are welcome.
