The National Weather Service has recently issued a wind advisory warning along several counties within the Central N.Y. area, including Cortland for this evening of Wednesday, November 27th.
Tonight's wind advisory warning will begin at around 6 p.m with there also being a 60 percent chance of rain showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day.
Forecasters are expecting west winds from a range of 15 to 25 miles per hour along with wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour.
Gusty winds could blow down unsecured objects and tree limbs. Winds may also even cause power outages.
Make sure to secure outdoor objects and use extra caution when driving.
Tonight's wind advisory is expected to go until about 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 28th.
