(Photo taken by Kaitlyn Hession/Cortland Voice).

There are always different events and activities happening at and around the Cortland County area on the weekends for people to participate and enjoy.

Here are some of the events happening this weekend in Cortland County:

Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving, a holiday where people gather with their friends and families to enjoy a big dinner, mainly involving turkey and reflect on who or what they are thankful for in their lives.

The national tradition has been going on since the first celebration in 1621 and has helped gather people from different backgrounds to have a day to be thankful for everything in their lives.

Have a happy holiday!
