Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, December 13

Your Finger Lakes Weather forecast for Cortland and the surrounding areas for Friday, December 13, 2019:

Much of today will be cloudy but quiet as the region awaits the arrival of our next weather maker. That system will arrive tonight with some rain showers, but the bulk of the action will come tomorrow.

With limited sunshine, temperatures will rely on the strength of a south wind to rise. That wind will blow between 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 25-30 mph.

Temperatures will respond slightly by rising through the 30s to a high near or just shy of 40 degrees.

The earliest rain showers may arrive as soon as the evening commute, but a better chance for rain will come in the evening and overnight.

Here is a look at the weather forecast for the next several days:

Saturday: Cloudy with rain, especially during the morning. Rain changes to snow by evening. Morning temperatures in the upper 30s with afternoon highs in the low 40s.
