McGraw varsity boys basketball takes down Stockbridge Valley at home

Last night, the McGraw varsity boys basketball team took down the Stockbridge Valley Cougars by a large margin of 72-23 to improve to a 3-1 overall record.

By the end of the first quarter, the McGraw Eagles were already up by 24-points (28-4) with their great offense and ball movement.

The Eagles continued dominating for the rest of the first half, as they held Stockbridge Valley to another four points in the second quarter. McGraw ended the first half with a 39-point lead (47-8).

Coming into the second half, the Eagles kept complete control of the game, as they outscored the Cougars by 11-points to end the game 72-23.

McGraw junior forward Caleb Smith led the Eagles with a total of 25-points to go along with his five rebounds and three steals throughout the game.

Following Smith was senior center, Brent Thomas with 11-points, six rebounds, and one block.

Up next, the Eagles will be going head-to-head against Brookfield (2-3) at home on Monday, December 16th. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
