Weekend of Events: What to do in Cortland County?

There are always different events and activities happening at and around the Cortland County area on the weekends for people to participate and enjoy.

Here are some of the events happening this weekend in Cortland County:

Santa Claus at the Cortland Water Works

This weekend on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd, Santa Claus will be coming to town, as he will be making a visit at the Cortland Water Works located on 53 Broadway Ave, Cortland, NY 13045.

He will be there to visit all of the boys and girls in the area.

The event will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 21st and then again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 22nd.

Cortland Repertory Theatre: "A Holiday Dream"

This weekend, the Cortland Repertory Theatre’s Youth Program will be presenting its first holiday show.

The show will take place at the Cortland Repertory Theatre located on 24 Port Watson St, Cortland, NY 13045.

This show will provide kids and their families with a special holiday activity and a story sure to appeal to those kids of ages 3 through 10.

Show days and hours include:

  • Friday, December 20th at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 21st at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 22nd at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free for kids under the age of two.

Center for the Arts to present: "A Christmas Carol"

The Center for the Arts located on 72 S Main St, Homer, NY 13077 will be presenting the famous story of "A Christmas Carol."

Join the Center for the Arts as they present Jim Coon’s version of this favorite holiday classic.

The first show was yesterday, Wednesday, December 18th. However, the next two shows will take place tonight Thursday, December 19th and tomorrow Friday, December 20th.

Both remaining shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets range anywhere from $5 to $12.
