Your Finger Lakes Weather forecast for Cortland and the surrounding areas for Sunday, December 22, 2019:
After two dry but chilly days, today we will start to add in warmer temperatures to our tranquil weather pattern.
High pressure is well to our southeast off the coast of the Carolinas. Southwest winds and sunshine on the backside of the high will dominate our weather today.
There may be a few passing clouds this morning, but most of the day should be plenty sunny. The wind will blow at just 3-7 mph with gusts to 15 mph.
Temperatures will respond favorably to this pattern with highs topping out just above 40 degrees this afternoon. Tonight will not be as cold either, with evening temperatures only slowly falling through the 30s.

Monday: More sunshine. Temperatures start in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs into the mid 40s.
Tuesday: Cloudy but dry. Temperatures start near 30 and rise to the mid 30s.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Perhaps a spit of rain or snow in the evening. Temperatures start in the low 20s and rise to the upper 30s.
Thursday: A mix of clouds and some sunshine. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Highs in the mid 30s.
