Your Finger Lakes Weather forecast for Cortland and the surrounding areas for Tuesday, December 24, 2019:
Our weather will again be precipitation free for today, but the warmth and sunshine will temporarily be held at bay.
A cold front slid through the area overnight, switching winds around to the north. Those winds will blow between 5-10 mph this morning, but will become nearly calm this afternoon. Top gusts should be around 15 mph.
Clouds will be dominant in the sky today, though some breaks of sunshine are also expected. No rain or snow will fall from the clouds though.
The north winds and decrease in sunshine will have a net result of colder temperatures. Look for highs today to top out in the low 30s.
Evening temperatures will fall back into the low 20s for those heading out for Christmas Eve.

Wednesday: A little sunshine filtered through some thin overcast. Temperatures start in the upper 10s and rise to near 40.
Thursday: Increasing clouds with a few rain showers in the afternoon. A few icy pockets in the evening. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Highs in the upper 30s.
Friday: Cloudy with a few rain showers, especially early. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs near 40.
Saturday: Some early clouds, followed by increasing sunshine. Temperatures start near 30 and rise to about 40.
