High pressure will retain control of our weather for one final day before an unsettled weekend unfolds.

Like yesterday, skies today will primarily be dominated by a layer of thin clouds. Some sunshine will filter through the clouds, but it will not be a full-on sunny day.

Also like yesterday, these clouds will not produce any precipitation.

Winds will come from the south and southeast today at 5-10 mph. Top guts will be around 20 mph.

Temperatures will quickly warm this morning on their way to a high near or just above 40 degrees during the afternoon.

Only a slow drop back into the 30s is expected during the evening as clouds thicken and winds strengthen slightly.

Saturday: Cloudy with periods of mixed and icy precipitation. Lows near 30 with afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Sunday: Scattered snow showers. Lows in the low 30s with afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Monday: Morning snow showers ending by the afternoon. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Tuesday: Cloudy but dry. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs reaching the upper 20s.
