YWCA Cortland and the SUNY Cortland Women’s Athletics program invite girls in grades 4-7 to the 19th annual Girls’ Day Out!  This unique day of activities is designed to engage and motivate girls in the areas of health, fitness, education, and much more.

Girls’ Day Out takes place on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Park Center (PER Center) at SUNY Cortland from 8:45 am. - 2:45 pm.  Morning sports include gymnastics, Ultimate Frisbee and swimming.  Afternoon activities include a health education component and an interactive career fair. Cortland State’s Women Athletic teams will escort participants to each activity.

Professional women from the Cortland community and surrounding areas will introduce the girls to a variety of careers. Participating career women include emergency room doctors, a plant biologist, a police officer, a massage therapist, and optometrists, among many others. This year the fair will also include students from Delhi University’s Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering program.

The public is encouraged to make their daughters, granddaughters, students, or friends aware of Girls’ Day Out and that it will be a day to remember. The cost to participate is $18 with a sibling discount offered. The registration fee includes a drawstring bag, lunch, and snacks. The registration form and a schedule of events can be found on YWCA’s website at cortlandywca.org. Payments should be made to YWCA Cortland. Participants may also pay at the door on the day of the event.
