Bailey Place Insurance, with offices in Cortland, Dryden, Ithaca and Rochester, NY has been honored as an Erie Insurance 2019 Elite Award winner for achieving growth and profitability goals. The Erie Insurance Elite Award recognizes the top 10 ERIE agents companywide in both lines of business – Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. Bailey Place Insurance ranked ninth out of over 2,200 agencies companywide.

This is not the first time the agency has been recognized by Erie Insurance. Bailey Place Insurance was named the 2018 Giving Network Agency of the Year Award for outstanding community service. The statewide award is given in honor of the agency’s efforts to support local charities and not-for-profits. The award included a $2,500 donation from Erie Insurance, which Bailey Place in turn donated to the Cortland Community Foundation.
In 2020 Bailey Place is celebrating its 162nd anniversary, tracing its roots back to the first policy written in 1858 – making it one of the longest running companies in Cortland and surrounding counties.
