Marathon took it to the hardwood for the third night in a row last night, as they defeated Section III Class C, Dolgeville (56-35).

The Lady Olympians came into the game looking for their 10th win of the season, and were not denied.

“The girls really believe in each other and are sharing the ball,” said Marathon Head Coach Andrew Pierce.

The Olympians were up 32-25 at the half.

Marathon’s defense had to step up last night, because Dolgeville 1,000 point scorer Hannah Stack.

“Paige Euson got tasked with a big responsibility,” stated Coach Pierce. “She met the challenge and did a great job.”

Marathon ended the game scoring 56 on the night with a strong 3/4 court defense that created turnovers and a well balanced attack.

Tillotson led the Olympians with 25 points. Ensign had 10 points, while Kristi Walley scored nine.

Up next, the Lady Olympians will finish the regular season at home, as they play their last Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on February 17th at 7pm.
