Today will be another quiet weather day for Cortland County as high pressure along the East Coast continues to dominate the weather pattern.

Southwest winds will continue to transport warmer air into the region. Temperatures are starting off much warmer than they were yesterday, and highs this afternoon should sneak above 40 degrees.

Those winds will blow between 7-12 mph with gusts around 20 mph. Late in the afternoon, a wind shift will take place with winds turning to the northwest.

Skies will be a mix of sunshine and a few clouds, but no precipitation is expected.

Evening temperatures will fall through the 30s and into the 20s, where they will hold overnight.

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with periods snow and rain. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds with scattered lake effect snow. Temperatures start in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Thursday: Scattered lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper single digits. Afternoon highs in the upper teens.
