McGraw — Cortland County Sheriff’s officers are investigating a stabbing that occurred this afternoon in McGraw and are requesting the public contact the department with any information regarding the incident.
An adult was stabbed at a residence on West Academy Street and was taken by TLC Emergency Medical Services to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for further treatment, wrote Lt. Todd Caufield in a news release this evening.
Police and medical responders from the McGraw Fire Department were sent to the residence about 1:40 p.m. after the Cortland County 911 Center received an emergency call, Caufield said.
Sheriff’s investigators consider the stabbing to be an isolated incident, he said.
The department asks anyone with information regarding the attack to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 607-758-6151.
Further information regarding the attack or the condition of the person taken to the hospital was not immediately available this evening.
