Both the Marathon boys and girls varsity basketball teams qualified for the Section IV Class D Sectional Tournament.
Their seedings and schedules are as follow:
Boys Basketball
The Marathon Olympians will be looking to repeat as Sectional champions, as they head into the tournament with the #1 seed. They ended the regular season with a 16-2 record.
The Olympians will have a first round bye, and will host the winner between #8th seed Sharon Springs and #9th seed Margaretville on Friday, February 28th at 6pm.
Girls Basketball
The #6th seeded Lady Olympians will host #11 seed Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton on Wednesday, February 26th. The game is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
The Lady Olympians ended their regular season with a 10-10 overall record and will be looking to make a big Sectional run.
