Today’s weather will be quiet, but not completely uneventful.

Clouds this morning will gradually give way to some breaks of sun this afternoon. Before that happens, though, a few flurries or rain showers will be possible.

Any precipitation today should be brief and light. No snow accumulation is expected.

Temperatures will rise to a high near or just above 40 degrees. The southern part of the county could sneak into the mid 40s for a short time.

Clouds will continue to break up this evening, but skies should not become fully clear. Temperatures tonight will slip back through the 30s.

Winds today will be from the west at 12-17 mph before slowing down and turning to the northwest late this afternoon. Peak gusts will be near 40 mph.

Thursday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Friday: Periods of snow with minor accumulation. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: A few clouds early, then sunny. Morning lows in the mid teens. Afternoon highs near 30.

Sunday: Lots of sunshine and much warmer. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs near 50.
