Yesterday, high pressure brought sunshine back to the area. Today, southwest winds behind the high will increase temperatures dramatically.

The warming trend has already gotten underway, with temperatures hitting their lows last evening and coming up slightly since. Through the morning, temperatures will shoot upwards.

Afternoon highs should reach the 50s, with low 50s in the higher elevations in the northern part of the county, and mid 50s in lower elevations and the southern part of the county.

Few clouds, and no precipitation, are to be expected with start-to-finish sunshine.

Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph today.

Evening temperatures will fall back to around 40 degrees, then into the 30s overnight.

Monday: Sunny with some clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Tuesday: Periods of rain. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs near 50.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
