The on-going staffing shortage at the Cortland County Department of Motor Vehicle Office is forcing the bureau to close for the rest of the week.
The temporary staffing shortage at the DMV has prompted longer lines and wait times since Tuesday but the DMV will now close at least for Friday March 13th due to the staffing issue.
Cortland County Clerk Elizabeth Larkin says, “I attempted to avoid closing the office as I know many residents schedule time off from work in order to complete their motor vehicle transactions but this closure cannot be avoided at this time.”
The Cortland County DMV is expected to re-open for regular business on Monday March 16th 8:30 AM.
