Our region will be between weather systems today, resulting in conditions strikingly similar to Monday.

Sunshine and cool temperatures early this morning will give way to increasing clouds and warmer temperatures.

The clouds will be thin at first, allowing plenty of sunshine to shine through. During the afternoon, the clouds will become thicker.

Precipitation will not fall during the day, but rain will move in late in the evening and overnight.

Temperatures will be driven upwards by increasing south winds. Look for afternoon highs to reach the mid to upper 40s. Evening temperatures will settle around 40 degrees.

The south wind will start light with speeds under 5 mph through the morning. Speeds will increase through the afternoon and into the evening, when gusts over 20 mph will be common.

Friday: Clouds, sun, and afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Windy. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Saturday: Sunny but much colder and breezy. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs near 30.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
