Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, April 1

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, April 1, 2020:

April will get off to a sunny start, but cool temperatures will linger.

The low pressure that has kept our region cloudy and damp for days has finally dissipated. A few last clouds this morning will give way to sunshine for the rest of the day.

There could be a brief spit of rain or a flurry with some of the clouds early this morning, but most areas will remain dry.

Winds will come from the north-northwest today and will be blustery. Wind speeds will be between 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.

The wind will bring in cool air to counteract any warming effect from the sunshine. Highs will therefore be in the mid 40s once again.

Evening temperatures will fall into the 30s under mostly clear skies.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Clouds with a few rain showers. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: Maybe a morning shower. Then, clouds and some late sun. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Sunday: Sun, clouds, and scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
