The Cortland Free Library at 32 Church Street is closed to the public until further notice, but we are doing our best to provide you with what we can during this time.
This includes the following:
- Free WiFi from our parking lot*
- Free ebooks and audiobooks from Overdrive*
- If you’re new to Overdrive, visit their help page or email us for help getting started
- Virtual storytimes with Miss Tammy!
- Visit our Youth Services Facebook and Instagram page for more info
- Activities are shared daily via our Facebook and Instagram pages, e.g.:
- Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Bedtime Storytimes start Thursday April 2 at 7 p.m.
- Community information is also shared regularly
- Via social media, e.g., Cortland County School Student Meal Distribution Plan from Seven Valleys Health Coalition
- Via the Useful Links section on our website with Recovery, Mental Health, and General COVID-19 resources and information

We recognize that those of you who don’t have internet access or email may not be able to take advantage of these opportunities. Please call the library at (607) 753-1042 and leave a message if you have a question or an idea about how we can help.
Do you have items checked out? Please keep them with you at home until the library reopens as our book drop is currently locked. All due dates have been extended to May 1 and will be extended further should this closure continue past that time.
