Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, April 4

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, April 4, 2020:

Temperatures will return to normal today after a cool week, but sunshine should not be expected.

Thick clouds on the backside of the large coastal low pressure system that brought yesterday’s showery weather will remain in place today.

There is a small chance for a little sunshine to peek through toward sunset, but even that may be too much to hope for.

Despite the clouds, no additional precipitation is expected today.

The low is pulling away and weakening as well, which means the supply of cold air has been cut off. High temperatures should reach the low 50s this afternoon.

Evening temperatures will fall back into the 40s but should hold steady in the low 40s overnight.

Winds will be less than 5 mph today and from variable directions.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Clouds early with a shower or two. Some sun late. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: Lots of sun and a few thin clouds. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
