Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, April 5, 2020:

A weak cold front will pass through the region today but will be largely unnoticeable.

Skies will be cloudy for much of the day, but on and off breaks of sunshine will poke through. Skies should become mostly clear late in the afternoon following the frontal passage.

There will be a small chance for a couple stray showers with the front. Any rain that falls will be light and brief. The best chance for rain will come during the morning hours, but an afternoon shower will be possible as well.

Temperatures will reach the mid 50s early this afternoon and should drop a couple degrees late as the front moves through.

With the clearing skies tonight, evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 40s and into the 30s.

Wind speeds will be light at 5-10 mph. The wind direction will start from the southwest very early in the day, turn to the west for most of the morning, and end up from the northwest during the afternoon.

Thursday: Cloudy with rain showers likely. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
