Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, April 21, 2020:

Another cold front will move through the area today, bringing more cool, damp weather.

The front will move through this morning. Rain will accompany the front on and off through the morning hours. A few snowflakes may also mix in at times.

Precipitation will taper off for the afternoon with just a few stray flurries lingering. The chances for snow showers will increase this evening as a little lake effect flares up. Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

Temperatures will bounce around today thanks to the front. Overnight, the temperatures have risen and will peak in the mid 40s this morning.

After the front, a few hours of upper 30s are likely for the midday. Another rise into the low 40s will take place in the afternoon with 30s again tonight.

Blustery south winds this morning will turn to the northwest behind the front and increase further with speeds of 15-20 mph. Afternoon gusts will top out near 40 mph.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Some morning snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Thursday: Clouds and some sun. Maybe a shower. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Cloudy with a little rain possible. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Rain likely. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
