The first weekend of May will be off to a fine start as a small area of high pressure moves through.

Sunshine will mix with clouds through the morning, but the clouds should thicken up more in the afternoon as the high departs.

Late in the afternoon, a shower cannot be totally ruled out as a warm front approaches. There will be a better chance for scattered showers this evening and overnight.

Winds will blow from the west-northwest through the early afternoon. As the high passes over, the wind should turn calm for several hours. A southeast wind will develop tonight.

Wind speeds will be under 10 mph with gusts reaching no higher than 20 mph.

Temperatures will be seasonable, reaching a high around 60 degrees. Evening temperatures will settle near 50 degrees.
