An area of low pressure will track southeast of our area later today, bringing rain and snow showers with it.

First though, some early sunshine will get replaced by clouds through the morning. By the afternoon, skies should be mostly overcast.

Precipitation will arrive in the late afternoon, starting as a mix of rain and snow. Snow should quickly take over as temperatures drop.

Light snow will be possible for a few hours tonight before coming to an end before midnight. Hilltops could see an inch or so, with a coating possible in lower elevations.

Temperatures will peak in the mid 40s during the early afternoon, then will fall. By this evening, temperatures will be into the low 30s.

Winds will start from the west this morning but will turn to the north for the afternoon. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph with gusts to 25 mph.
