High pressure will sink south into New England today, keeping our weather quiet, sunny, and mild.

There will be very few if any clouds in the sky today, and of course no precipitation whatsoever.

Clear skies will continue into the nighttime hours. With the moon approaching new phase, it will be a great night for stargazing.

Winds on the backside of the high pressure will take on a more southeasterly direction with speeds of 5-10 mph. Top gusts will be near 25 mph, mostly during the mid and late morning.

Temperatures will respond to the sunshine and southerly component in the wind to reach a high in the mid 60s. Evening temperatures will back through the 50s and into the 40s.

Thursday: Lots of sun. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs nearing 70.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Sun with a few afternoon clouds and a very small chance for a pop up shower. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Very small chance for a pop up afternoon shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
