Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, May 25

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, May 25, 2020:

Memorial Day will be spent once again between high pressure off the New England coast and active weather over the Midwest with similar results compared to yesterday.

The one difference will be some small chances for rain, mainly this morning as some scattered showers and storms move through the area.

Not all areas will see rain this morning, and the chances for a shower or storm will drop dramatically by mid-morning. Again this afternoon, there is a very small chance for a pop-up shower or storm, but most areas will stay dry.

Outside of any of these showers or storms, skies will be partly cloudy. Winds will be from the south once again at around 10 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Temperatures will continue to run slightly above average with highs in the mid to perhaps upper 70s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
