Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, June 8

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, June 8, 2020:

High pressure will track from the Great Lakes this morning to the Mid-Atlantic coast this evening, resulting in more sunshine and the start of an upward trend in temperatures.

Sunshine will dominate from start to finish today. Only some passing thin clouds from time to time will appear. Those should do little to interrupt the sunshine, though.

Obviously, without much in the way of clouds, precipitation will not be an issue today.

Winds will continue to be from the northwest today at 5-10 mph. Top gusts will come in around 20 mph. This evening, winds will go calm before turning to the south overnight.

Temperatures today will be warmer than yesterday but still a touch below the seasonal norms. Look for highs near or just above 70 degrees.

Nighttime temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s this evening, but will then hold steady there overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Tuesday: Lots of sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Nighttime showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs approaching 90.
