Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, June 11, 2020:

A cold front moving through the region very early this morning will sweep the heat and humidity away.

Clouds and a few showers will linger through this morning as the front clears the region. As dry air builds in behind the front, the clouds will begin to break up.

Much of the afternoon will have a mix of sun and clouds before the day ends with mostly clear skies. No other precipitation is expected outside of the stray early morning showers.

Winds will be from the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph this morning. Afternoon wind speeds will drop to 5-10 mph as the wind direction turns to the northwest.

After a warm, muggy night, dewpoints will quickly fall to comfortable levels this morning. Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s, but will also start to drop off during the second half of the afternoon.

Tonight will be much more comfortable with temperatures dropping through the 60s and into the 50s.

Saturday: Clouds and some sun. Possibly some rain showers late. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Sunday: Cloudy with rain showers possible. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Monday: Cloudy with periods of rain, especially early. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
