Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, June 20

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, June 20, 2020:

Today will follow the path of the last two days with sun, clouds, and some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Sunny skies this morning will gradually see fair-weather clouds develop and grow. During the afternoon, a few of these will become large enough to sustain rain and thunder.

The best chance for thunderstorms will come after 2 PM through the late afternoon. At first, thunderstorms will be widely isolated. Overtime, they should form small clusters as they slowly drift along.

Not all areas will see rain, but a few locations could see some heavy downpours. The rain will quickly dissipate as the sun sets with mostly clear skies this evening.

Temperatures will reach the low and mid 80s this afternoon before the storms develop. Any rain will send temperatures back into the 70s.

Winds will continue to be minimal, coming from the south at around 5 mph. Gusts should be at or below 15 mph.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. One or two afternoon showers or storms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
