Our week will be off to a hot and muggy start as our weather pattern remains unchanged.

Temperatures will quickly rise this morning and reach well into the mid 80s this afternoon. A few places could even push toward the upper 80s.

Dewpoints will be similar to the last several days but just a bit higher, approaching the mid 60s.

This will once again lead to clusters of scattered afternoon thunderstorms developing in the general region. Heavy rain and lightning will be possible should a storm move into Cortland County.

Otherwise, it will be sunny with fair weather clouds increasing in size and coverage throughout the day.

Skies will turn clear tonight and any rain will come to an end around sunset. Evening temperatures will drop back through the 70s and into the 60s.

Winds today will be from the south at or under 5 mph. Top gusts will be near 15 mph.
