Cortland Weather Outlook: Tuesday, June 23

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, June 23, 2020:

A cold front tonight will bring some changes to our weather, but not until after another hot, sunny day.

Skies will be mixed with sunshine and fair-weather clouds throughout the day. There may be a period this morning when the clouds are a bit thicker. A stray shower cannot be totally ruled out then, either. The afternoon should be dry, though.

As the cold front approaches tonight, showers and thunderstorms will become possible. These will be most likely sometime after 10 PM. A stronger storm may be possible but is unlikely given the late time of day.

Temperatures should get well into the mid 80s again this afternoon with dewpoints in the mid 60s.

Winds will be from the south-southwest and a bit breezier than recent days. Speeds should be between 10-15 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an early shower. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Only a small chance for a shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Sun and fair-weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy. Hot and humid with thunderstorms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
