Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, June 28, 2020:

A northwest flow behind Saturday’s weather maker will bring a few more scattered showers to the area today.

Skies will be a mix of cloudy periods and sunnier ones. Sun will be more likely in the afternoon, but that is also when the showers may pop up.

Any rain should be brief and scattered, so some, if not many areas, will not see any rain. Those that do will not see the rain last long or amount to much. Some occasional lightning may also be possible.

The northwest winds will blow at 5-10 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph. Winds may be a but more westerly early on compared to much of the day.

Temperatures will top out in the mid 70s this afternoon before slipping back into the 60s this evening under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. A couple afternoon showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers or storms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Lots of sunshine. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
