Low pressure continues to spin over New England with Cortland County on the far western fringes of its sphere of influence.

Like yesterday, today will have a mix of sun and clouds. By the afternoon, there will be a chance for a few scattered showers to pop up, and maybe even a light thunderstorm.

The rain showers will take an uncommon track, coming from the northeast and moving southwest. Many areas will not see rain, though.

Temperatures will be similar to, if not a degree or two cooler than yesterday. Look for afternoon highs in the mid 70s. Evening temperatures will fall back into the 60s.

North winds will blow at 5-10 mph with gusts reaching around 20 mph.
