Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, July 1

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, July 1, 2020:

The persistent low pressure system over New England that has brought a few showers to our neighborhood earlier in the week will spin moisture towards us one more day today.

That means that the weather today will look very much like it did on Monday and Tuesday.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds, though clouds will favor the morning and breaks of sunshine will be more common in the afternoon.

By midday, some scattered showers will pop up and move in from the northeast. Cortland County will again be right on the far western edge of the influence from the low, so any rain that falls should not be too heavy or widespread.

Temperatures should rise up into the mid 70s this afternoon before falling back into the 60s this evening.

Winds will again come from the north at 5-10 mph with gusts reaching about 20 mph.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Friday: Sunny with a few afternoon fair-weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Saturday: A morning shower. Otherwise, partly cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
