High pressure will build in and bring some classic 4th of July weather to Cortland County today.

Like most of our recent days, sunshine this morning will mix with fair-weather clouds. These clouds will start to develop during the late morning and will persist until the sun begins to set tonight.

Some thin wisps of cirrus cloud will also be present from time to time. No rain is expected from any of these clouds.

Northwest winds will blow at around or just above 5 mph today. Top gusts will reach about 20 mph.

Temperatures will be warm, but not excessively hot with highs in the low and mid 80s.

Skies will clear tonight and temperatures will slide back into the 60s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Maybe an afternoon shower or storm. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 90s.
