Sheriff: Truxton man attempts to flee police, arrested for felony DWI

This is a press release from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 13, 2020, at approximately 2:30 AM, Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Starr Road, in the Town of Cortlandville, when the operator of vehicle began to flee from police at a high rate of speed.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle on McLean Road, the operator, 29 year-old Edward White, was found to be intoxicated. Mr. White was arrested, processed, and is to be arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process at 8:30 AM, July 13, 2020.
