Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, August 8

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, August 8, 2020:

Our weather today will be in transition as high pressure pushes away a frontal boundary.

The morning will start out rather cloudy with a few stray, brief showers around. Most areas will not see much, if any rain.

The clouds will gradually break up through the later morning and midday hours as the high builds in. Much of the afternoon will be sunny with clear skies this evening.

No additional rain is expected during the afternoon or evening.

Winds will be light a variable with speeds under 5 mph and wind directions from the southeast early, southwest and west during much of the day, and from the northwest and north late.

Temperatures and humidity levels will be comfortable and highs should reach the mid 70s. Evening temperatures will drop back into the 60s.

Some thin clouds will then work in overnight, but no rain is expected from these, either.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
