Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, August 12

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, August 12, 2020:

Behind last night’s cold front, a fine summer day is ahead today.

High pressure is building into the region and will keep conditions quiet today.

Any cloudiness this morning will burn off and leave mostly sunny skies before noontime. The afternoon will be sunny with a few thin cirrus clouds and a couple fair-weather cumulus clouds.

Rain is not expected at any time today thanks to the high pressure and drier air.

High temperatures will be a touch above the average, but cooler than the last two days with highs in the upper 70s. Humidity levels will be much lower with dewpoints in the 50s or even 40s at times.

Skies will be clear tonight, though a few more thin cirrus clouds may slide through at times. Temperatures will fall back through the 60s.
