Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, August 22

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, August 22, 2020:

A disturbance over the Mid-Atlantic is spreading some thin clouds north this morning. These clouds should filter some of the sunshine but should also move on by this afternoon.

In their wake, a few fair-weather cumulus clouds will develop this afternoon. There is a very small chance for a brief shower from these afternoon clouds.

As has been the case so often this summer, most areas will not see rain, and those that do will only see light amounts for a short amount of time.

Temperatures will be influenced by the cloudiness this morning and will not be much warmer than yesterday. Look for highs in the low 80s to the north and east with mid 80s to the south and west.

Winds will be light from the northwest with speeds at or under 5 mph.

Tonight, skies will clear, and temperatures will fall back into the 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Very low chance for an afternoon shower. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Monday: Partly cloudy. Maybe a couple scattered showers or storms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Tuesday: Sun, clouds, and scattered showers and storms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: A slightly better chance for scattered showers and storms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
