Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, September 3, 2020:

Last night, a front moved through the region. Today, that front is off to the southeast as a wave of energy moves along the front.

Clouds will increase this morning as this energy travels northeast. At first, the sun may shine through the clouds, but during the second half of the morning into the early afternoon, skies should become overcast.

A couple stray showers will also be possible. Any rain that falls should be light and will quickly move through.

Sunshine should work back out this afternoon and skies may become mostly clear early this evening.

High temperatures this afternoon will reach the mid 70s. South winds will blow at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Overnight, a second front will move through from the northwest, bringing a few more scattered showers.

Temperatures will hold near or just above 60 throughout the night.
