Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, September 10

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, September 10, 2020:

A cold front will move through the region this afternoon but with only a low chance for rain showers.

Temperatures will quickly rise this morning with partial sunshine and 5-10 mph south and southwest winds. By midday, temperatures will be in the low 80s, where they will remain for a couple more hours before the front moves through.

Clouds will increase ahead of the front, and a few scattered showers will pop up during the afternoon. Many areas will not see rain, though.

As the front passes during the mid-afternoon, winds will turn to the northwest and temperatures will drop several degrees back into the 70s.

A stray shower will continue to be possible, but unlikely, into the evening. Cloudy skies will hold temperatures in the 60s this evening, but 50s should work in after midnight.

Saturday: Sunshine filtered through thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Cloudy with scattered showers. Windy early. A little sun late. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Monday: More clouds than sun. A morning shower possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
