Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, September 26, 2020:
Dry, warm weather will continue today as high pressure keep control of our weather.
There will be a chance for some clouds during the midday and afternoon hours on the fringe northern edge of a weather system moving through the Mid-Atlantic. It is uncertain how far north these clouds will make it.
There should be little else to challenge the sun for control of the sky, so it should either be bright and sun-filled from start to finish, or the clouds will overtake the sky.
Either way, no precipitation is expected to fall.
South winds will blow at around 10 mph with gusts around 25 mph. These winds will help push temperatures into at least the mid 70s, though upper 70s are possible if the clouds never move in.
Tonight, skies will become increasingly cloudy with temperatures in the 60s.
Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:
Sunday: A few early clouds, followed by lots of sunshine. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs near 80.
Monday: Sun, clouds, and a few afternoon showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
