Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, October 3

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, October 3, 2020:

A small disturbance will pass by the region today, keeping the chance for a few showers in the forecast.

The best chance for showers will be from the mid-morning hours into the early afternoon. Any rain that falls will be light.

Outside of the showers, skies will remain rather cloudy, though a few breaks of sun will be possible from time to time. The best chance for sun will be late in the afternoon.

Northwest winds will blow at near or just over 5 mph throughout the day.

The clouds and northwest winds will hold temperatures down with highs only reaching the low and mid 50s.

Scattered to widespread clouds should linger through much of the night. This will prevent temperatures from falling too far. Still, a quick drop into the low 40s is expected this evening and pockets of frost could develop overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Early sun giving way to clouds. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Monday: Scattered rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with periods of rain. Breezy. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
