Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, October 11

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, October 11, 2020:

Today will be quiet in the wake of a cold front last night.

There will not be much time for sunshine though. After a little early sun, clouds associated with the remains of Hurricane Delta will move in from the south.

At first, the sunshine will only be filtered by the clouds, but as the day goes on, the cloud should get thicker, resulting in a drab, grey day.

No rain is expected from these clouds during the daytime hours, though. Tonight, a couple showers may sneak in, especially around and after midnight.

Winds will be lighter than yesterday, coming from the northeast at around 5 mph. Top gusts on the day will be around 15 mph.

The lack of sunshine and cool air behind the front will cap highs in the upper 50s this afternoon. Temperatures will drop to near 50 this evening and slowly drop overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Monday: Cloudy with showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Tuesday: Morning showers clearing out and giving way to afternoon sun. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a few afternoon showers. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
