The middle weekend of October is off to a cold start, but today will end up pleasant.

The clear skies responsible for the frosty start will remain in place most of the day. Only a few fair-weather clouds during the midday and afternoon hours will mix with the sunshine.

No precipitation is expected from any of the clouds.

Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 mph. After winds calm this evening, they will pick back up from the south overnight with gusts building back toward 20 mph by dawn Sunday.

Daytime high temperatures will be in the low to perhaps mid 50s, which is right on target for mid-October. Temperatures will quickly fall to the upper 30s this evening, but the south winds will prevent it from getting colder.

Some clouds will also build in tonight, but should not arrive until after midnight.

Wednesday: Maybe a shower early, then more sun than clouds. Breezy. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.
