Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, October 22

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, October 22, 2020:

Today’s weather will be quieter than the last several days, but not necessarily completely dry, either.

A front stalled out to our south will keep skies plenty cloudy today. The best chance for a few peeks of sunshine will be during the afternoon.

A stray shower or a bit of drizzle will also be possible today, especially during the morning and early afternoon hours. Most areas will probably not see much if any rain, though.

Winds will primarily be from the east today at 5 mph or less. This evening, winds will turn to the southeast and increase to 5-10 mph.

The front may creep far enough north during the afternoon to bring 60s into Cortland County. The best chance for mid 60s will be in the southern portions of the County, while the best chance for sticking in the upper 50s will be across the north. Most areas should settle in between these two points.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 50s this evening and through the overnight with skies remaining mostly cloudy.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Friday: A mix of sun and clouds. Breezy. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Saturday: Morning showers and warmth transitioning to a mix of sun and clouds and cool temperatures. Early temperatures near 60. Afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s.

Sunday: Increasingly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs near 50.

Monday: Periods of rain likely. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.
