Today’s weather will be quiet, but with signals announcing the next weather system, set to roll in tomorrow.

Skies will be sunny this morning with some patches of thin clouds. Through the afternoon, the clouds will become more numerous and thicker.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected by sunset with overcast taking over through the evening and overnight. Rain during the daytime hours is not expected, but an evening or overnight shower cannot be totally ruled out.

As the next system approaches, winds will turn from the northeast this morning to the east this afternoon and southeast this evening. Wind speeds will be light, generally around 5 mph during the daytime hours and 5-10 mph tonight.

With daytime winds from the northeast and east, warmer air will not be moving into the region. Highs today will be in the same range as yesterday, topping out in the upper 40s.

Temperatures this evening will drop into the low and mid 40s, where they will remain through the overnight.
